Xbox Dashboard Design Process

We love the web.

The mighty Xbox 360For those intersted in application and interface design, I happened upon a fascinating article that details the design process that went into the Xbox 360 Dashboard.

Seeing everything the designers went through during the creation of the Dashboard doesn’t surprise me one bit: this is one of the best user experiences I’ve had on a consumer device, the time they put in really paid off.

Plus, it provides me a platform on which I can kill Nazis. And I love killing Nazis.

Maybe they should have hired that company to design Vista as well lol

But seriously, I wish this kind of effort was being made on DVD on-screen menu’s - those are some of the worst cases of bad GUI I can think of (not all, but most).

lol, good call: DVD menus really are the pits. Especially when they play the same sound bite every time you make a selection!
