IEEE Developing 10GBaseT Ethernet Standard

In other words, the speed of an OC-192 directly into your computer. The nearlyOMG SO many bps!!!1 completed standard will use cat-7 cabling and a new type of connector, the GG45. It will be a huge benefit for companies that are pushing the limits of their gig-e connections, and even better for the massive home media networks that we are all building. 10GBaseT is to be approved this July.
