This Thing We Call The Web

We love the web.

This is a great video that boils down the technical and philosophic history of the web, in a uniquely engaging visual fashion. The beginning is a great summary of what my job focuses around, and that’s why I was originally going to post this… but as the video stretches on it presents a really powerful allegory about where the web is going, and how it’s going to alter what we think of entertainment and ownership.

I’ll admit it, I teared up a bit at the end.

very cool. I’ve said it before, this is where I come to find out what the hell all of this stuff is. Wish you would do more of this kind of article.

The topic of internet culture is a big one, I find that blogging about it helps put my feelings into perspective. Of course actually putting aside the time to write is difficult in itself, but I definitely need to get the posting frequency back up. :-p

Awesomeness. Only thing I’m not so sure of is web 2.0. I think web 2.0 is the start of something that will ultimately be abused > and then we’ll start fixing the web for real.
