Being without power sucks.
Well, technically we do have power, it’s just a question of how much. The technical term is a brownout, in this case we’re guessing we have around 50% of the normal amount of electricity flowing into the Crashaus. Of course while this reduced state of energy lets us run dim lights, it unfortunately is not providing the necessary voltage to start our furnace.
Thus, sweatshirts. Sweatshirts and blankets.
Of course of an even more serious nature is the intermittent lack of internet service. The icy grip of winter seeping in through the walls? That’s tolerable. Being unable to check gmail or get on Xbox Live?
Insufferable.

Poor guys. It’s 20 here, but that’s celsius. I know it’s super late, but I just got “Gears of War” here in Taiwan. Oh my god.
The hardest part of that game for me, has been resisting the temptation to always use the left trigger to aim, it’s not that necessary.
lol, it’s great isn’t it? Dark room with the sound turned up and that game is in its element. And yeah, aiming with the left trigger isn’t always needed, especially with the shotty: that thing is far more at home being fired from the hip.
Wait so you’re browned out in Berkley? That sucks, we’re totally fine in Ferndale, knock on wood. How long has it been?
It ended up coming back on overnight. It went out around 3pm though so it was a pretty long haul…
