I haven’t played halo 3, or any other xbox game for that matter, and there’s a good reason why. I have moved most of my stuff over here to Thailand where the power is 220V. Now, most of my equipment, like my laptop, and my phone, and projector worked right away because they are set to take 100-230 V, and can handle the difference. Some like my Sony equipment and the pc have blocky converters that do ’something’. So when I saw the big converter on the power plug of my xbox I thought, ‘for sure this thing can handle the voltage’, I mean go look at yours again, the thing weighs like 12 pounds. So I plugged it into my powerstrip. It sparked (the strip), smoked, and all the power in my condo died. After fumbling aroung the place for awhile I found the circuit breaker and flipped it back on. The TV was okay, the powerstrip was fried, and the xbox I’m not sure about because I don’t have a 220 to 110 converter. Guess I’m off to Pantip Plaza tomorrow to grab one. If it works, I will probably have to go back to get Halo 3. Hope you’re having fun. Pity me.
