Looks like one of the heavy hitters of the blog platform world has finally jumped on the open source train: Movable Type announced MTOS: the Movable Type Open Source project on June 5th.
While I’m still a WordPress man at heart, there are a great number of high profile web developer personalities out there that still rely on Movable Type, so it must be doing something right! I’m sure they’ll be glad to have a more open, and of course more affordable version of their blogging platform of choice on hand.

One of my favorite TV programs out on the cablewaves right now is Adult Swim’s “The Venture Brothers“. It’s a great satire that spoofs the old “Johnny Quest” series from my youth, replacing the super scientist father with a neurotic painkiller addicted dad that’s constantly milking his inheritance for all it’s worth, while his two sons find their way into mayhem that only their Swedish super body-guard can free them from. Throw in a suite of totally ridiculous villains and you’ve got a perfect take on old action shows with modern humor.
Behold the might of Brock Sampson, and the menace of evil butterfly henchmen!
Season 2 of The Venture Brothers dropped in April, and it even includes commentary for each episode.
Go team venture!

The Halo 3 beta is officially upon us, and low, it is good. Good in a way that beautifully blends the balance and zen flow of Halo 1 with the in your face “i’ve got 2 uzis and you don’t got none” fever of Halo 2. I’ll try to keep posting during these 3 weeks, honest I will. But I mean, come on. Shakespear gots to get paid son.
